Newcastle e Arsenal empatam sem gols

O Arsenal mostrou neste sábado que terá sérias dificuldades na atual temporada sem duas de suas principais estrelas. Sem contar com Cesc Fabregas e Samir Nasri, a equipe londrina decepcionou fora de casa e ficou apenas no empate por 0 a 0 contra o Newcastle.

Com o resultado, as duas equipes ficam empatadas em pontos com outras seis, após o primeiro dia de disputa do Campeonato Inglês terminar com quatro empates - apenas o Wolverhampton venceu o Blackburn e o Bolton superou o Queens Park Rangers, ambos fora de casa.

Se não contava com Fabregas e Nasri, que estão prestes a ser negociados respectivamente com Barcelona e Manchester City e, assim, não foram escalados, o Arsenal tinha o atacante Gervinho. Mesmo sem suas estrelas a equipe de Arsène Wenger até criou algumas oportunidades. Mas caiu de produção após a expulsão no segundo tempo do reforço marfinense, que se envolveu em briga, e terminou sua estreia no empate sem gols.
Antes desse incidente, o mesmo Barton tinha chegado forte em Song, do Arsenal, e levou um pisão do camaronês em retaliação. O meio-campista dos Gunners não foi expulso pela agressão.
